Someone's House is a 400 sqm invitation-only venue on Al Khayat Avenue in Al Quoz 1, built as a house rather than a hall and taken exclusively so the whole building is yours for the booking.
The main floor is double height, with stratified rammed-earth walls, polished concrete floors and a sculptural curved staircase that becomes the centrepiece of every wide shot. A crystal chandelier hangs under a full truss of moving-head stage lights and profile spots, so the room can go from warm and residential to a lit stage without anything being brought in. A brushed-steel bar sits against a backlit mural, a rosewood library wall with a rolling ladder runs down one side, and a planted atrium under a skylight gives you a daylit outdoor zone with palms, patterned terrazzo and designer seating.
Alongside it, the Backstage venue gives the building a second room in a completely different register: board-formed concrete walls, a poured concrete floor and an exposed steel ceiling carrying its own lighting grid. A large TV screen is mounted permanently on the main wall with column array speakers either side, and a second, larger screen faces it from the opposite end, so presentations, showreels and live feeds run in both directions without rigging anything in. Modular staging, event seating, banquet tables and a dressing room with lit vanity mirrors sit with it, and AV support is on hand throughout your booking to run screens, sound and lighting for you.
Best for product launches, fashion shows, private dinners, brand activations, afterparties, private concerts, movie premieres, art exhibitions, panels and press briefings, corporate offsites and board meetings, networking evenings, editorial shoots and film production.
The house holds up to 200 guests standing and reconfigures to your plan: banquet or theatre seating, round and rectangular tables, lounge sofas and ottomans, bar stools and high-tops.
