Esque taken in full: a working art gallery in Dubai Hills with two large studios that could not be more different, booked together as one venue.

The White Studio is double height and flooded with daylight. Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs along two sides onto trees and the neighbourhood, the floor is pale and polished, and a full mirrored wall doubles the room. Circular artworks hang on white walls under track lighting. It is bright, clean and easy to shoot or teach in.

The Black Studio is the opposite and that is the point. Charcoal walls and floor, the same tall glazing, and vivid modern paintings that glow against the dark. With the lights down it takes colour beautifully, which is why it works for sound healing, immersive sessions and candlelit dinners. Two photographs on the listing show it lit in neon and set with a long candle-lit table.

Having both means you can run a bright workshop and a dark immersive session in the same booking, or use one as the event and the other as reception, catering or a photo corner.

Flexible layouts, soft dance flooring in the white studio, free WiFi, restrooms, tables and chairs are all included. Esque is run by an all-female team.

Best for yoga, sound healing and breathwork, art workshops and classes, pop-ups and markets, exhibitions and private views, photoshoots and content days, community events and meet-ups, product launches, supper clubs and candlelit dinners, and wellness retreats.
